Book with Rachel

Hi, I’m Rachel (she/her)! I’m a therapist who shows up with warmth, empathy, and a genuine belief that laughter can be just as healing as tears. I welcome you exactly as you are and support you in exploring your experiences with curiosity and compassion. I hold a deep understanding that grief shows up in many ways, not just after loss, but through trauma, change, relationships, and the moments in life that quietly shape us. I work with kids, teens, adults, and couples who are navigating stress, anxiety, low mood, grief, relationship challenges, parenting stress, identity questions, family patterns, and lingering emotional heaviness after hard experiences.

Outside of therapy, I’m a country girl from Ohio turned New Yorker turned Southerner, a sister to six siblings, a baker, a pumpkin enthusiast, a hopeful world traveler, and someone who genuinely prefers snacking over full meals. I believe deeply that kindness matters, and that laughter—truly—can be life-saving. I bring that same grounded, human energy into sessions: warm, real, relaxed, and never afraid to let humor soften heavier moments.

In therapy, I’m collaborative, gentle, and very human. I’m not big on formality or rigid structure—instead, I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space built on empathy, trust, and authenticity. Our work is shaped around you—your needs, your pace, and your story. I often weave together different ways of understanding emotions, relationships, and patterns, especially when it comes to grief and healing. I also believe that when used thoughtfully, sharing a bit of my humanity can help deepen connection—particularly in grief work. Supporting women in becoming their most authentic selves is something I care deeply about.

You might hear me say things like “Exhausted makes sense,” “What are your thoughts?” or “Can we offer yourself a little more grace here?” I often remind clients that “Nothing changes if nothing changes,” and I love using metaphors—like a pendulum finding its center—to show how balance often comes after the extremes. Together, we’ll stay curious, gently explore what’s underneath your patterns, and move toward healing with compassion and humor.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Kennesaw State University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I continue learning and growing in areas related to grief and trauma, but my focus always stays the same: helping you feel safe, seen, validated, and deeply cared for in a world that doesn’t always offer that easily.

Guiding Vibe: Reserve judgment and remain curious.

If starting therapy feels intimidating, that’s completely okay. Reaching out takes courage, and I’m genuinely glad you’re here. You already carry what you need to move toward healing—and I’ll walk with you, every step of the way.
