Amber Tran, MCMHC
Now welcoming new clients ✨
If you’re questioning who you are, who you’re becoming, or where you belong, Amber offers a calm, curious, and grounded space to explore it all—one thoughtful step at a time.
Hi, I’m Amber (she/her)! I’m a pre-licensed therapist and a first-generation Vietnamese American who works with teens and adults navigating things like overwhelm, anxiety, low mood, grief, big life changes, relationship stress, parenting challenges, identity questions, family patterns, and chronic stress. I also care deeply about supporting folks from the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. My hope is to create a space where you feel safe enough to slow down, look inward, and explore what’s going on—without pressure, judgment, or needing to have it all figured out.
Outside of therapy, I’m an at-home barista, a self-proclaimed gamer gal, a traveler at heart, and a partner and pet parent who values balance and curiosity in everyday life. I love cozy moments, trying new experiences, and staying open to growth—both personally and professionally—and I bring that same openness into the therapy room.
In therapy, I’m warm, collaborative, and grounded in connection. Building a strong relationship is important to me, because feeling comfortable and supported makes it easier to talk about the hard stuff. As a first-generation Vietnamese American, I’m especially mindful of how cultural, family, and societal expectations can shape how we see ourselves, our mental health, and our sense of belonging. Our work together is always tailored to who you are and who you want to become, using tools and conversations that feel accessible and meaningful to you.
You might hear me ask things like “What’s been on your mind lately?” “I’m noticing a pattern here,” or “What small, doable changes feel aligned with your goals right now?” I focus on your strengths and progress—especially during tough moments—and when it feels helpful, I may gently challenge a thought with care and transparency, making sure you feel heard and respected along the way.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Oklahoma and am currently practicing as a pre-licensed therapist under supervision. What guides my work most is curiosity, compassion, cultural humility, and presence, because growth happens best when you feel supported and understood.
Guiding Vibe: You get to show up unapologetically as yourself here.
Starting therapy takes courage, and it’s okay to feel unsure. If you’re hesitant, know that you don’t have to jump all the way in right away. You deserve support, and you don’t have to take the first step alone.
