Now welcoming new clients ✨
If your brain has a lot of tabs open, Sophia’s your therapist—warm, easygoing, and ready to talk feelings, figure things out together, and probably understand your gaming references too.
Hi, I’m Sophia (she/her)! I’m a therapist who brings warmth, curiosity, and a very human approach into the therapy room. I work with kids, teens, and adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, school-related challenges, and LGBTQIA+ concerns. As a queer therapist, creating a space where you can feel comfortable being fully yourself is especially important to me. You don’t need to know exactly what you need from therapy before you get here—we can figure that out together.
Outside of therapy, I’m a gamer, book lover, nature lover, and very dedicated pet parent to multiple guinea pigs and a rabbit. I also enjoy walking, hiking, exercise, and yoga. I appreciate the things that help us slow down, recharge, and feel a little more like ourselves, and I bring that same relaxed energy into sessions.
My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and flexible. Therapy with me is meant to feel more like a genuine conversation than stereotypical “therapist talk.” I want to understand what’s going on in your world, what you’re feeling, and what you want to change. From there, we work as a team to make sense of things and find tools that actually fit your life. My approach draws from CBT, person-centered therapy, psychodynamic approaches, play therapy, and solution-focused work, depending on what feels most helpful for you.
When working with kids and teens, I focus first on making therapy feel comfortable and safe—not like sitting in a room talking to a stranger. We might talk, play, explore feelings, or practice new skills together. With adults, I create that same collaborative space while helping you better understand your emotions, express what you need, recognize patterns, and build practical tools for moving forward.
You might hear me ask, “What was that like for you?” “Tell me more about that,” or “What do you need right now?” I believe feelings deserve space without having to take over everything else. One way I think about it is this: if you try to carry everything all the time, eventually you’re going to drop something important. Sometimes it’s okay to put something down for a while.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Brenau University. My work is grounded in compassion, empathy, transparency, and curiosity, with the goal of helping you feel comfortable, safe, and supported while still giving you room to discover what works for you.
Guiding vibe: All feelings are welcome here—you don’t have to carry them alone.
Starting therapy can feel like the hardest part. You don’t need the right words, a perfectly defined goal, or even a clear idea of where to begin. Showing up is enough. We’ll take the next steps together, at a pace that feels right for you.
