Book with Naylin

Hi, I’m Naylin (she/her)! I’m a Therapist Intern currently working toward my Master’s in Clinical Psychology, and I work with kids, teens, adults, couples, and families who are navigating things like stress, low mood, relationship challenges, identity questions, and everyday life pressure. I’m a Black woman with immigrant roots, and my lived experience navigating multiple cultural spaces shapes how I show up in therapy. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to be your authentic self.

Outside of therapy, I’m a nature lover, book lover, traveler, and pet parent. I’m also an avid romance reader, an exercise enthusiast, a dedicated journaler, and a trinket collector. These things help me stay grounded, reflective, and curious—and I bring that same energy into the therapy room.

In therapy, I’m direct, collaborative, and supportive, with just enough structure to help you feel steady without feeling boxed in. I believe having a loose framework can make sessions feel safer and more productive, especially when life feels overwhelming. You’ll always have a say in setting your goals, and I’ll be there to offer guidance, encouragement, and accountability along the way. What makes my approach personal is my ability to hold a warm, safe space for vulnerability, while also gently encouraging you to step out of patterns that may no longer be serving you.

When I work with children, sessions often include games and creative activities to build trust and make it easier to talk about hard things. With teens, I let them take the lead in conversation while offering insight and support as they sort through challenges in their own way. With adults and couples, I focus on getting to know your worldview and lived experience, building trust first and then supporting growth through honest, collaborative work. When working with parents and children, I pay close attention to family dynamics and help identify healthier ways to connect and understand one another.

You might hear me ask things like “Does that make sense to you?” “How is that landing for you?” or “What does that look like for you?” I often remind clients that growth usually involves some discomfort—and that doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. During harder moments, I’ll remind you that what you’re experiencing is normal, and that choosing to seek support already says a lot about your strength.

I’m currently working toward my Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Clayton State University and practicing as a Therapist Intern under supervision. What guides my work most is empowerment and authenticity, and I find it especially meaningful when clients feel able to advocate for themselves and live in alignment with who they truly are.

Guiding Vibe: Let’s build the bridge to healing together.

If you’re feeling hesitant about starting therapy, know this—you deserve to move through life authentically, with your head held high. Our work together may feel challenging at times, but you won’t be doing it alone. I’ll be right beside you, offering support, encouragement, and a space where you can grow with clarity, courage, and self-trust.

Naylin is not a fully licensed therapist and is currently under the supervision of Jennifer Stowe (CSW005104). For concerns regarding Naylin, please contact their supervisor at jstowe@thinkjoyllc.com.
