Kayla Price, M.S.
Now welcoming new clients ✨
Kayla creates a calm, supportive space to help you navigate anxiety, stress, and life’s big emotions—while finding your next star in the dark.
Hi, I’m Kayla Price (she/her)! I’m a pre-licensed therapist who brings warmth, curiosity, and genuine care into the therapy space. I work with kids, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, parenting support, and chronic stress. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported as we explore what’s going on—at a pace that feels right for you.
Outside of therapy, I’m a former competitive dancer, a dolphin lover, a travel enthusiast, and someone who’s always up for a new adventure. I love movement, creativity, and exploring new places, and I bring that same openness and curiosity into the therapy room.
My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, with a balance of empathy and gentle directness. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection among their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to build practical skills for everyday life. I believe healing happens best when people feel safe, supported, and empowered, so I tailor each session to your unique goals and experiences. What makes my approach personal is that I also live with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, allowing me to bring both professional knowledge and lived experience into our work. I strive to normalize the healing process, offer genuine empathy, and remind clients they don't have to face life's challenges alone.
When working with children and teens, I use a developmentally appropriate, strengths-based, and engaging approach, often incorporating play, creativity, and open conversation while collaborating closely with caregivers. With adults and couples, I balance emotional processing with practical, goal-oriented strategies that strengthen communication, build confidence, and support lasting change. When working with families, I help improve communication, deepen understanding, and strengthen connection so each family member feels heard and valued.
In our sessions, you might hear me say, "It makes sense that you feel that way,""You're not alone in this," or "Let's take a moment to breathe and check in." I often use the metaphor of "two stars in the dark," where the stars represent hope, joy, and connection, and the space between them represents fear, grief, or stress. Together, we'll learn how to move through the hard moments while keeping sight of the light that's still ahead.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of West Georgia and my Master of Science in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Clayton State University. My work is guided by compassion, presence, empowerment, cultural humility, safety, and authentic collaboration, with the belief that meaningful growth happens when people feel truly seen, supported, and accepted.
Guiding vibe: Two stars in the dark—learning to move through the hard spaces while holding onto hope.
Starting therapy can feel scary, but it’s also one of the bravest gifts you can give yourself. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. I’ll meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and walk alongside you as you build new skills, find hope, and create meaningful change—one step at a time.
