Amy Ripley, LCSW
Fully booked for now, but rooting for you! ✨
If you want therapy that’s curious, candid, a little dark-humored, and grounded in safety, Amy’s your therapist—warm, real, and not afraid of hard conversations.
Hi, I’m Amy (she/her)! I’m a therapist, parent, partner, and creative who works with adults dealing with things like overwhelm, trauma, anxiety, low mood, identity questions, family patterns that don’t serve you anymore, and long-term stress. I care deeply about building real, long-term connections with the people I work with and creating a space where you can show up fully as yourself—no editing required.
Outside of therapy, traveling and exploring, laughing often, trying new hobbies, and keeping life creative are some of the things I love. I’m a mom, a curious human, and someone who believes that honest, real conversations—and a good sense of humor—can make even the hardest moments more bearable. I definitely cuss a little (sometimes more than a little), and I bring a grounded, down-to-earth energy into everything I do.
In therapy, I’m intentional, relational, and genuinely curious about you. I focus on creating a shame-free, nonjudgmental space where you can be honest, feel deeply, and talk about the hard stuff without being rushed to “fix” it. I believe in slowing down, sitting with emotions, and letting insight unfold naturally. I ask thoughtful questions, follow the threads of your story, and truly enjoy getting to know the different parts of who you are. My work is shaped by approaches that pay attention to both your experiences and your body, with a strong focus on helping you feel safe, supported, and understood.
You might hear me ask things like, “What did that experience teach you about yourself?” or “Can we go a little deeper here?” or “What are you noticing in your body right now?” You can expect presence over fixing, validation over judgment, and a therapist who’s comfortable saying, “I’m really sorry that happened to you.” I often talk about healing as something we move through, not around—because gently allowing ourselves to feel is often where real change begins.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Georgia and have additional training in trauma-focused and body-based work. What guides me most is creating emotional safety, staying curious, and building strong, trusting relationships—because growth happens best when you feel accepted and supported.
Guiding Vibe: Shame-free zone—come as you are.
If starting therapy feels intimidating, you’re not alone—it really can feel like a leap of faith. My hope is that when you sit with me, you feel warmth, curiosity, humor, and genuine care. We’ll move at your pace, build safety together, and make room for whatever comes up. You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin—and you don’t have to do it alone.
