Teen Therapy
At Tiny Planet Counseling, teen therapy is developmentally informed, relationship-centered, and collaborative. We provide a supportive space where teens can talk openly, build insight, and develop skills to manage emotions, stress, and life transitions.
Sessions are tailored to each teen and may include conversation-based therapy, skill building, and practical coping strategies. Therapy often focuses on helping teens strengthen emotional regulation, communication, decision-making, and responsibility, while addressing behaviors that may be creating stress at home or school.
Caregiver involvement is thoughtful and balanced. When appropriate, we collaborate with parents to identify specific behaviors they want to see change—such as emotional outbursts, withdrawal, defiance, school avoidance, impulsivity, or difficulty following expectations—and work together to support healthier patterns. This may include parent check-ins, joint sessions, or guidance around consistency, boundaries, and support at home, while still honoring the teen’s privacy and growing autonomy.
We support teens experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, identity exploration, school or social challenges, ADHD, stressful experiences, family changes, and related behavioral concerns.
Our goal is to help teens feel heard, supported, and empowered, while also helping families experience greater understanding, cooperation, and emotional balance during this important stage of development.
