Hey there! My name is Maria Koutroulakis, and I am a counseling intern at Tiny Planet Counseling. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in psychology from Kennesaw State University, and I am a current student at Marshall University in the master's in clinical mental health counseling program. Life is constantly evolving, often faster and in a direction that we are not expecting or fully prepared for. I would love to be a resource and a tool for clients who are looking to manage their life transitions with school, work, relationships, parenting, etc. in positive and healthy ways. As a counselor, I will create a safe space for my clients to speak and feel. All emotions are welcome during our sessions. I am interested in utilizing a humanistic approach with clients and allowing clients to take the lead and be the experts in their own life. I am my client's biggest advocate. Life presents many different challenges and obstacles that we don't always anticipate and this can make it difficult to overcome the challenges presented to us. Having personally experienced many of life's obstacles, I understand how overwhelming it often is to overcome these transitional periods, and I look forward to helping you through these challenges.
